A place for Boomer

Rachel called tonight, and told me that the rescue has a foster home for Boomer. I am waiting for a call from the rescue folks to set up a “transfer” time. *Choke*

This sucks, sucks, sucks! But I’m gonna do it anyway.

No pictures today. No birding, kids didn’t really do anything cute.

I’m off to read other blogs for some pick-me-up.

BTW: Welcome John of DC Birding Blog to my blogroll.

I am sending you great BIG {{{hugs}}}.

Susan, you need to do what you have to do. It sucks, you’re right. I’ll be thinking of you during this time. You love your cats and they’ll be safe from harm! Boomer is a lovable BT who will adjust nicely, and look what you have done for him! He was starving but now he’s full. Don’t worry. Hugs to you.

Now, now, the kids are always doing something cute, but that doesn’t always mean the cuteness translates well into writing about it… e.g., Lorelei made a lot of cute faces and said a lot of cute things, but you had to be there. And Isabelle told me tonight–as she has many times–that she wants to stay up all night–so we made plans for her to stay up very late with me on New Year’s Eve. (Yeah, I live an exciting life; partying with our five-year-old.) Anyway, I hope you found your pick-me-up at the other blogs, though I know you won’t have, if you went to mine, since once again, I didn’t update it…

I’ve been reading A DC Birding Blog for some time now. John does a jam up job. I went back east this past summer and went to places I read about on his blog and I had a great time.

I’m so sorry about Boomer, Susan. I know how you feel — sometimes doing the right things for the right reasons feels all wrong. I’m sorry!

  6. Lynne Says:

Hugs to you Susan- YOU got Boomer ready for the rest of his life. I said a prayer for your aching heart today.
